The shareable e-scooter company Wind announced today the appointment of Itai Ezra (31) as Operations lead in Israel. Ezra, who will begin his new position this week, has extensive experience in business development and operations. His last position, which he held for two years, was senior manager in AnyVision, an AI company who is one of the world’s leaders in its field. Prior to that, he served as head of strategic partnerships in the start-up Shookit, which has recently sold its operations in Israel and moved to the United States. Ezra holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in funding from Kiryat Ono College.
Ezra is embarking on the new role during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the use of scooters as a personal means of transportation has been reaching new heights, thanks to the personal sense of security it provides users, who fear using public transport. Furthermore, local authorities are increasingly embracing the solutions provided by micro-mobility in the urban environment, and taking action to allocate riding trails and develop the urban infrastructure.
“Micro-mobility is one of the most rapidly growing and interesting markets in the world today. Financial consulting firms estimate the global market size of micro-mobility will reach $300 billion a year by the end of the next decade, so it’s clearly the right industry to be in. I’m excited and prepared for the challenges facing the company, specifically its continued expansion throughout Israel and the continuous improvement of its operations and infrastructure. I intend to implement advanced work methodologies from the tech world, and work together with the amazing team that has taken WIND to where it is today. Wind views the safety and comfort of its users as first priority, and uses technology to constantly improve safety, service and user experience. The company will continue to serve the residents of cities in the best way. “The company offers the best product in its field today, and our users know it and appreciate it.”
Eric Wang, CEO and Co-founder of Wind Mobility said today:
“I am very happy, and I welcome Itai Ezra to the Wind family. We look forward to working with Itai to further strengthen Wind’s presence as the leading scooter company in Israel. As the market leader in shareable scooters, Wind will continue to pave the way for sustainable transportation solutions in cities around the world. “
